Competence centers and infrastructure

Use our competence centers and testing infrastructure to your advantage: among other things, we provide coworking spaces for agile, time-limited project development, an innovation lab for product and service tests directly involving users, and a hall for testing and developing IoT prototypes.

At our coworking spaces and joint labs at Nordostpark 93, we offer innovative forms of collaboration and infrastructure. These coworking spaces are designed as a multi-space office with a selection of different layouts and moods, providing an inspirational and creativity-enhancing “Work 4.0” environment. This allows flexible collaboration within interdisciplinary teams, leading to more cooperative output, improved performance, greater well-being and motivation, and therefore better research findings. On request, the open coworking spaces can also be used by industry partners for joint projects. They are currently under construction and should be in use by the end of 2019.

In our Joint Labs in the same building, we also offer customers the opportunity to form interdisciplinary development teams with our scientists outside of their day-to-day business to work on specific problems for a fixed period of time in self-contained facilities.

With the help of scientifically grounded Fraunhofer technologies and methods, companies can effortlessly obtain data-based feedback from their target groups at the earliest possible opportunity. The innovation lab was set up by the Center for Applied Research SCS with support from the Chair of Innovation and Value Creation at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) and has now been successfully established as a spin-off company.
